A New Year at YACS!

We can hardly believe that the new school year is starting already!  We've grown so much since we opened, and we're confident that this will be our best year yet!  We've had a lot of changes, but one thing that hasn't changed is our dedication to arts integration. We have a commitment to providing every child with individual support, engaging and challenging curriculum, and a motivated (and awesome!) staff-- we'll truly be teaching to the whole child.

Some of the changes will be obvious when you come to the campus: we've been growing every year and have added new buildings to our campus this year.  These are state-of-the-art portable buildings, complete with in-ground plumbing, air conditioning, and spacious, modern classrooms.  These buildings will be housing our Kindergarten team and will serve as a safe space for early learning here at YACS.

Some of our changes have been with our staff-- some new faces and some familiar faces in new positions.  First of all, we are ecstatic to be bringing Brandon House on as our school principal!  He was the Director of Curriculum last year (a position now filled by the wonderful Brionne Stewart) and now will serve as our school's leader.  Brandon has shown a passion for education and a tireless commitment to serving students, and we are confident he will be an advocate for every child that comes to YACS.

Some of our teachers are new to the YACS, but we took a long time to pick just the right teachers that believe in our mission and our method.  We know that before too long, they will be "regular" members of the family here.

For returning students and parents, welcome back!  For new students and families, welcome to our community.

We can't wait to see what our creative learners come up with this year!
