Brandon House -- School Leader
Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Brandon received his Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Taylor University and Masters of Arts in Educational Administration and Supervision from Ball State University. He began his teaching career in 2007 working as a long-term substitute in Kindergarten and 3rd grade before accepting a position as a Behavior Modification Specialist. In 2008, Brandon became a 5th grade teacher in Indianapolis Public Schools District. He was voted Thomas D. Gregg Elementary Teacher of the Year and nominated for Indianapolis Public Schools' Teacher of the Year in 2010. He was a finalist for Teacher of the Year again in 2011.
He began his career in educational leadership when he took on the role of Information Technology Education Coordinator/ (iTEC) Educator where he was able to develop his passion and knowledge for blended learning. In 2014, Brandon moved to New Orleans where he served as Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Young Audiences Charter School. Mr. House assumed the role as School Leader for Young Audiences Charter School in 2016.
Brionne Stewart -- Assistant School Leader
Brionne Janée Stewart is a New Orleans native and Louisiana State University alum. Upon graduating from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor concentration in Spanish, Ms. Stewart received her teaching certification in Bilingual Education and began her career as an educator in Dallas, TX. She served as a First and Fourth Grade Bilingual Teacher while pursuing her Master of Education in Educational Administration at Texas Woman’s University.
Passionate about giving back to her community, Ms. Stewart returned to New Orleans and served as Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Young Audiences Charter School where she supported the development and implementation of the school’s dynamic arts-integrated curriculum. Ms. Stewart now assumes the role as Assistant School Leader at Young Audiences Charter School. She aims to empower and instill self-advocacy into our creative learners so that they take advantage of their right to acquisition of knowledge.
Roscoe Reddix -- Director of Arts Integration
Roscoe Reddix Jr. is a teaching artist, storyteller, dancer, and Young Audiences' Director of Arts Integration. He is a native of New Orleans and a proud graduate of Howard University; BFA, Theater Arts, '92. (Go Bisons!) He also performs with several dance and theater companies in the city. When he's not reviewing lesson plans, teaching class, or assisting other teaching artists you'll probably find him in rehearsal for something...(whew!)
