About Young Audiences

Providing a Creative, Nurturing, and Challenging Academic Environment

At Young Audiences Charter School at Kate Middleton, our arts-integrated curriculum reflects recent research from the arts education field that provides significant evidence of the value of the arts in the learning process. In our school, teachers and administrators work to create and support a culture of high expectations that allows each student to reach their greatest potential; providing a creative, nurturing, and challenging academic environment to encourage students’ individual learning and empower them to take their place in today’s innovative and entrepreneurial economy.

As a Type 1 Charter authorized by the Jefferson Parish Public School System, is open to any Jefferson Parish student entering Pre-K 4, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th Grade. Each following academic year, the school will add one grade so that it ultimately serves students in grades Pre-K 4 -8.  If there are more applicants than available spaces, the school will have a lottery (as required by state charter school law).
